St Peters is a small unsung hero of the Inner West. With a position between Newtown and Marrickville, with Sydney Park on one side, it has a lot to offer. A few of my favourite things about St Peters:

  • Sydney Park, the largest off lead dog park in Sydney not only has a small pond for dogs to cool off, but numerous playgrounds for kids, cycle paths, skate park and perfect hills for an afternoon picnic.

  • Precinct 75 is a small business, entrepreneurism hub with the addition of Willie the Boatman brewery (famous now for the Albo Pale Ale, but to locals it was famous well before that).

  • Aslan coffee is a local favourite, enjoy your brew in house or over the road at Camdenville oval

  • Simpson Park has one of the best kids playgrounds in Sydney - put together from infrastructure and homes that were removed for the widening of Campbell St in 2020.

  • Home to the Town and Country pub - as featured in Slim Dusty’s, ‘Duncan’, “We drink at the Town and Country. Where the atmosphere is great”

  • St Peters station is currently being upgraded to include lifts which will make the station accessible friendly (due to complete in 2023)
