Randwick Council is the best of both worlds - the beach and the proximity to the city.

Here are 10 of my favourite places & things to do around Randwick Council:

1. Best outdoor activity - Beach BBQ at any one of the Council’s free BBQs; my personal favourite is Coogee

2. Best coffee - Gusto in Coogee; grab your coffee and head down to the beach

3. Best café - A Man and His Monkey; not easy to get a table on a weekend but worth it!

4. Best place to hang out when it’s raining -

5. Best view - Balcony of the Coogee Pavilion overlooking the beach; or the opposite view from Trennery Reserve

6. Best little bar - Del Punto up in the Spot at Randwick will take you back to Spain

7. Best restaurant - Wagyuto Clovelly for a touch of Japanese

8. Best bookshop - no real favourite little boutique bookshops in Randwick; maybe that is a business idea?

9. Best dog friendly activity - Centennial Park; the outer loop is dog off lead friendly, just be careful of the road

10. Most touristy thing to do - Leave little at the beach on Christmas Day (watch out for the angry locals)
